Mrs. Olson

Welcome to 4th Grade!!!

My name is Debbie Olson and I am thrilled to be at Hoover again this year teaching 4th grade. This is my sixth year teaching. Prior to coming to Hoover, I taught 2nd grade at Elton Hills. I am very excited to be your child’s teacher this year.

I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Winona State University in May 2009.

I was born in New Jersey and lived in New York until I was eighteen. I moved to Minnesota after graduating from High School. My husband Joe and I have been married for 22 years and have two children. Kelley is a sophomore at RCTC and Joey is a freshman at Mayo High School. I also have two grown step-children, Becky and Michael. Joe and I also have an eight-year-old grandson and a two-year-old granddaughter.

I started my career with the Rochester Public School District in 2005 as a secretary at Century High School, while working towards my teaching degree. Teaching has always been a lifelong dream of mine, and I am happy to be sharing my dream with this wonderful group of 4th graders.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, watching football, being outdoors, spending time with family and friends, and traveling. I spend much of my time off traveling to Colorado, where my parents, siblings and their families live.

I look forward to a fun-filled year in 4th Grade!
